Features
In the fixed terminal CPUs, one pair of screw type terminal blocks is mounted to the CPU and cannot be removed. In the new CPUs, the terminal blocks can be removed.
The new CPUs have the same mechanical dimensions, compatible hardware and can be used with the same options and accessories as the fixed terminal CPU assortment.
The new CPUs offer the same specifications and features and can be used as replacement for the fixed terminal CPU assortment.
You can choose between three types of terminal blocks for the CPU. The terminal blocks have to be ordered separately.
Pluggable terminal blocks are used for the onboard I/O channels – the position of all signals on the CPU and the terminal blocks remains unchanged.
All types of terminal blocks used for the S500-eCo I/O modules can also be used with the new AC500-eCo CPUs.
Advantages
The deliveries of the new CPUs start with Firmware version V2.3.x which is supported by the released Automation Builder 1.0 and later versions.
Three types of terminal blocks are available and can be ordered separately.
Pre-wiring of panels without CPU is now possible.
The CPU can be replaced easily.
The CPU can be installed later during commissioning.
