Product Details

The T35 is a basic transformer protection system that has the capacity to provide protection to main power transformers and to five feeders downstream from the main power transformer. The T35 can either run automatically or can be user defined using magnitude reference winding selection. In either case, the T35 can provide phase shift compensation, CT ratio matching, and can even allow the operator to eliminate zero-sequence current.

The UR-8HH is one of many components found within universal Multilin relays such as the T35 base transformer protection system. The UR universal relay GE Multilin contains CT/VT modules, such as the UR-8HH, in addition to a digital input/output module, a power supply (sometimes dual power supplys), a transducer input/output module, a central processing unit (CPU), inter relay communication features with a communication switch, and an IEC Process Bus. Each of these components can be specified with different ordering options to tailor the precise features to the type of UR series universal relay that is desired for the end application. In this way, the universal relays function as a comprehensive, custom, advanced technological solution to the end user.
