Designed by AB, the 1756-BATA battery is a ControlLogix replacement lithium battery. The battery features 2 lithium cells and each of the 2 comes with approximately 5 grams of lithium. The 1756-BATA battery contains about 10 grams of lithium in total. The 1756-BATA battery is a backup battery that is used for the battery module of the AB ControlLogix devices. The current rating of the 1756-BATA battery is a maximum of 19,000 mA while the rated voltage is 3.6 Volts DC. The ambient operating temperature for the battery is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. The shipping weight is 2.4 pounds while the battery features an open enclosure. The backplane current at 24 Volts DC is 2.8 Amps while the backplane current at 5 Volts DC is rated at 10 Amps. The 1756-BATA battery is used for the AB 1756-BATM module.
The 1756-BATA lithium battery is a primary cell battery that gives extended memory support to AB products. To ensure safety, the battery should only be used for its intended applications. The 1756-BATA battery should not be recharged, neither should the users attempt to open, puncture, or crush the battery. Exposing the lithium battery to high operating temperatures could result in an explosion. Ensure that the positive and the negative terminals never short together and avoid shipping or disposing of the unit in any other manner than those that are described in the manufacturer’s instructions and in the local regulations on the disposal of batteries. The 1756-BATA battery should never be stored for more than 10 years and it should not be used for longer than 3 months before disposal. The storage area for the battery should be well ventilated and protected against fire.
